When is the Event?

This year it will be on Saturday May 15, 2021.  


Where is the Event?

Registration, packet pick-up, start/finish, awards and the after party all take place at the High Lonesome Ranch. The High Lonesome Ranch is about 10 miles from the town of De Beque, located at 0275 County Road 222, De Beque.


How do I register?

Registration is closed as the event has sold out.

Will there be day-of registration?

There will not be day-of registration in 2021 as the event has sold out.


How can I confirm my entry?

You may confirm who has entered the event  by going to and checking the confirmed riders or by emailing


I need to transfer my entry to someone, how does that work?

You may transfer your entry on until May 1st for a fee of $25.  After May 1st, please email for details on how to make a transfer


I need to edit my entry on Bikereg, my name is spelled wrong. How do I do that?

Yes, you have the ability to edit your registration information, category, team name, etc. through your registration for the event.  Deadline for making changes is May 1st.


Where and when is Packet Pick Up?

On Friday, May 14 packet pick up will take place directly across the road from the rodeo grounds in an old school house. Hours are 5 – 9 p.m.


On Saturday, May 15 rider credentials may be picked up outside the main ranch house. Hours are 6 – 8 a.m.


When does the ride start and what are the wave start times?

The event is a mass start and commences at 8 a.m.


Is camping available?

Yes, camping will be available.  Check out our lodging page at for details. 


Do I need to make a reservation for camping if I have my own gear or camper?

You do not need a reservation for camping, there is plenty of room for everyone. 




When can I set up camp?

Camping check in begins on Friday, May 14 at 5:00 p.m., you will not be allowed to set up before that so please plan your arrival accordingly.


What time do I have to leave on Sunday?

All campsites must be cleaned and packed up no later than 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.


Can I have my own campfire?

Personal campfires are not allowed.


Can my family/friends join me at the Ranch if they aren’t riding?

Your family and friends are welcome to join you for the weekend.


What is available after the ride?
Post-ride, we will have live music, a bike expo, beer garden and BBQ. The HLR staff will lead fly casting and stationary steer roping or you can just relax poolside or by the fire. Stick around for the podium presentation and Friends of the Mustang check presentation at 3:30 p.m.


Are the kids races free?

Yes, all youth under the age of 18 ride free but still need to register. 


Do I need a gravel bike to ride this event?

You do not need a gravel bike, you are welcome to use a mountain bike. 


Are e-bikes allowed?

NO, E-bikes are not permitted for this event.


Where do I pick up pre ordered merchandise?

Pre-ordered merchandise will be given to you with your rider packet.


Can I exchange pre ordered merchandise for a different size?

Please visit the merchandise booth and we will be happy to make an exchange if we have the correct size.  Please note that due to Covid protocols, any merchandise that has been tried on will not be eligible for exchange.


Can I add merchandise to my registration?

You can add merchandise to your registration until May 1st by logging onto your account with


Are dogs allowed?

We ask that you leave your pets at home for the comfort and safety of the pets and the participants.


Can I pick up a packet for a friend or family member?

You are welcome to pick up packets for friends or family without making any special arrangements.
