THE PREMIER RIDE
The Tour of the Moon exemplifies road cycling in the American west. Join us for the 9th annual sportive on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
The Tour of the Moon is one of the most important fundraising events that benefits Bicycle Colorado and One RiverFront. Learn more about both great organizations that are building a bicycle-friendly Colorado.
Make a special weekend of the Tour of the Moon and enjoy the splendor of the Western Slope. View our special lodging rates and stay a few extra days in the beautiful Grand Valley.
All cyclists will start and finish at Two Rivers Convention Center in downtown Grand Junction. The ride will begin with a spectacular trek through the Colorado National Monument. After exiting the Monument, riders may elect to tackle a metric century through the beautiful farm country and surrounding areas of Fruita or opt for the classic 41-mile loop back to Grand Junction.
Stick around after your ride for the Harvest Moon Celebration, complete with an expo, lunch, live entertainment and beer garden. Check out the latest cycling gear, accessories and nutrition products. You’ll find great bargains on apparel, equipment and more. Inform your friends and family that the expo is also open during the ride itself, so while you are on the course, they can enjoy the exhibits.
The Tour of the Moon was made famous in the 1980’s Coors Classic and later in the cycling movie American Flyers. Its legacy continues as one of the premier road cycling events in the western United States.
