ROADS AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE HIGH DESERT SCENERY

The Tour of the Moon was made famous in the 1980’s Coors Classic and later in the cycling movie American Flyers. Its legacy continues as one of the premier road cycling events in the western United States.

The National Park Service caps our participation at 2,200, and we sell out every year, so sign up now to get your spot! A portion of your registration fee goes to support One Riverfront and Bicycle Colorado.

THE PREMIER RIDE

The Tour of the Moon  exemplifies road cycling in the American west.  Join us for the 9th annual sportive on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

LODGING

THE COURSE

All cyclists will start and finish at Two Rivers Convention Center in downtown Grand Junction. The ride will begin with a spectacular trek through the Colorado National Monument. After exiting the Monument, riders may elect to tackle a metric century through the beautiful farm country and surrounding areas of Fruita or opt for the classic 41-mile loop back to Grand Junction.

THE WEEKEND

Stick around after your ride for the Harvest Moon Celebration, complete with an expo, lunch, live entertainment and beer garden. Check out the latest cycling gear, accessories and nutrition products. You’ll find great bargains on apparel, equipment and more. Inform your friends and family that the expo is also open during the ride itself, so while you are on the course, they can enjoy the exhibits.
